Where do you find out about gigs?

With the amount of local gigs that occur and the vast means that take place to promote them i recently dwelled on a few things like is their too much promotion? too little? (have you ever not known about a gig you would have attended) and where do you usually find out about gigs?
1)friends
2)myspace
3)flyers -in garage complexes, music shops, public places...
4)This site
5)newspaper
6)radio or any other etc, etc.....
your thoughts please
also apart from the bands of course what is the most important thing you look for in a gig (price, place, day?)

I hear about the most gigs via this site (ty daniel for a great site)....wish newspapers in Malta could write more about local bands (metal)...my previous bands in Sweden always used to get good promotion before and after gigs in local newspapers...that helped us a lot.

O_o just from this site and sometimes posters that i see hangin on electricity poles or bus stop signs
i notice poles and bus stop signs signs alot LoL :]

iv never heard about a gig on the radio i think..they always mention parties and local djs playing...so unfair -sigh-
